Welcome to Bardon Family Doctors
Bardon Family Doctors is a new practice that aims to provide quality healthcare to all patients. Our focus is on the patients experience while featuring quality General Practice services and allied health services. We provide comprehensive team-based general practice services to the community of Bardon, Paddington and Ashgrove regions. Our practice has a fully equipped treatment room and we provide a large number of services including health checks, women’s health care, chronic health care, immunisations, vaccinations, medicals and skin checks.
The Out of Surgery services we provide include:
- After hours consultations.
- Nursing home visits.
- Home visits for patients that are unable to get to the clinic.

Appointments:
We operate an appointment based system. If you would like to schedule an appointment, please contact our practice on 07 3708 2456 or you can book online through this website by selecting the ‘Book Now’ tab at the bottom of this section.
A standard appointment is 10 minutes. If you think you might need a longer appointment, please speak with a member of our reception team before you book your appointment. You can learn about what qualifies as a long appointment by clicking here.
Where possible, we will always try to ensure that we can find a suitable appointment time with your preferred doctor. Please be aware that emergencies will be given priority, if this situation should occur when you are scheduled to attend the practice, our staff will ensure every effort is made to contact you.
Appointments are usually held aside each day for urgent consultations and children. If you have a medical emergency you should call 000.
Pathology
There is 4Cyte pathology onsite and are at the practice from Monday to Friday 8:30am to 3:30pm. No appointments are necessary for this service.
After hours arrangements:
This practice uses the National Home Doctor Service to provide after hours care when this surgery is closed. Please telephone 13 SICK (13 74 25).
Information you supply:
To ensure optimal patient care, we request that you inform us of your cultural background.
In addition, any changes to your personal information such as; change of contact, Medicare details, change of address or emergency contact should be brought to our attention.
Results:
When this surgery receives significant abnormal test results, our staff will contact you to arrange a follow up appointment. Patients are encouraged to contact the surgery for results of all investigations. Your enquiry will lead to a reassurance that results were as expected or of a course of action that the doctor has indicated.
Repeat Prescriptions:
In order to monitor your health and fulfill our ethical and legal responsibilities, we require that you attend an appointment with your doctor (or if your usual doctor is not available, one of our other doctors) in order to receive repeat prescriptions, medical certificates, referral letters and results.
Home visits
Home visits are available in Bardon and adjoining suburbs when your condition prevents you from attending the clinic, and will be at the discretion of the treating doctor.
